For family camping, the use of recreational vehicles or RVs can eliminate the feeling of discomfort. It can also make people give you nasty looks for being a gas guzzler helping to continue our reliance on oil from places like Iraqu. Since RVs are just wheeled abodes, you don't have to be concerned of setting up camps in isolated areas and be stuck with dilemmas like bad weather or threat of crawling insects at night, or the lack of amenities around you. You are basically bringing a house with you. But for some, camping isn't "camping" unless you cope with the real outdoor adventure that goes with it. When you talk of outdoor adventures, the nearby comforts aren't there. Inconveniences are plenty, but that's part of the whole fun. The tent experience, the randomness of it, the nights directly underneath the stars is just part of the real outdoor camping experience. Camping is always a fun outdoor sport, regardless of what camping style you go for.
